The IQd approach
IQd is currently preparing a detailed overview of the approach it advocates and employs in situational engagements. The publication will set out the key characteristics of the approach – using norms, problem-solving and quiet diplomacy – and outline how it can be applied by conflict prevention actors.
IGO comparative study
In collaboration with The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, IQd is completing an analytical evaluation and comparative assessment of the preventive diplomacy work of selected IGOs with relevant mandates and experience in preventive diplomacy. The work will identify factors behind successful practice, lessons and recommendations.
Intra-Caribbean Migration and the Conflict Nexus
IQd, together with the Association of Caribbean States, the International Organisation for Migration, Human Rights Internet, and the University of the West Indies, engaged scholars and practitioners to comment on various aspects of intra-Caribbean migration and conflict potential in an edited publication. The book includes concrete recommendations to inform debate and contribute to policy development. The compilation focuses on current trends in the Greater Caribbean that pose challenges to stability, peace and social and economic development.
